1/16th  Note   Triplet   Groove    Studies    By Kevin Picone

16th note triplets are used in many ways on the drum set.  A common usage are ghost notes on the snare head,  but there's a lot of other great ideas they can be used for also.  Here we are going to explore some of their usages in beats with the left / right hands and bass drum mainly..  Be warned though, if unfamiliar with 16th note triplets (sextuplets)..  They may take some time to develop..

This are only a brief look at the potential of this kind of study, to take this further you are encouraged to make up your own combined examples, change the drum voicing, add dynamics, go crazy !.. Well .. Have fun!
