Groove  Idea's  Using  Fixed  4  Note  Groupings

For this lesson we are going to focus upon how many different ways we can use one basic 4 note grouping, and build it into a collection of rhythm or Fill ideas.

The Pattern were going to focus on is RLRf  (Right hand, Left Hand, Right Hand, Foot) played as 16th notes in a bar of common time. If you move adventurous  you can try applying this grouping to a stream of  8th note triplets to obtain a 4 against 3 poly-rhythm .

Anyways, here's some exercises, try them out, as always, don't be afraid to experiment.

If you would like to submit your own lesson please feel free to contact me.
