Ultimately it's your decision and is totally relative to your musical & drumming goals.  Personally, I think that beginners and advanced players alike, should all try to incorporate their practice sessions into their daily routine, weather it be 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes or more, that's up to you.   It's more important to maintain a quality of practice and not just a length of practice.  This is the reason why students who practice 15 - 25 minutes per day and develop rapidly, while others do hours and remain stag net, so it's not how long you practice, but WHAT you practice !

Some of the most common complaints amongst drummers are R.S.I. (Repetitive Stain Injury), Head or Back aches or simple blister related issues all of which can be caused from a dramatic increase in your practice routine, Bad sticks, Bad Stool, your Seating Position or just plain old bad technique in general.

It's best (personally) to work into it slowly, there's no rush.  For most people 30 minutes to an hour per day is more than ample time for an effective practice session.  It's best to practice daily rather than once or perhaps twice a week.  If you find your having trouble doing longer sessions, break it down into smaller more focused ones throughout the day...  It should be noted that were not only developing our skills, were also developing our physical conditioning also

If you know your about to join a band or go on tour or something where you need to maintain a quality of performance for 1, 2 or even 3 hours per night, start working these issues out in your practice sessions, perhaps work up to your goal over a period of two / three weeks or more. Slowly increase your session times until you can go the distance with comfort.

Finally, it can be very beneficial to do some type of aerobic or sporting activity, walking and light weight training are particularly good, for building your stamina and endurance
